Dhan B. Basnet, Esq. is an immigration attorney and founder of the Law Office of Dhan B. Basnet, PLLC, a Seattle, Washington-based solo Immigration law firm. Mr. Basnet has been practicing immigration law in the U.S. since 2015. Prior to that, he practiced law as an advocate for about seventeen years in Nepal. He has also co-authored a book titled “General Administrative Law of Nepal.”

Mr. Basnet received Masters of Law (LL.M.) from the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington in 2011. He also has Master of Arts (M.A.) in political science and Bachelors of Law (B.L.) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.  With a professional license to practice law from the State of New York, he devotes his practice exclusively to the immigration and nationality laws of the United States. Mr. Basnet is a member of American Bar Association (ABA), American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and its Washington State Chapter.

 As an immigrant himself, Mr. Basnet fully understands the stress, anxiety, and frustration of going through the complicated immigration process. He speaks English, Hindi, Nepali, and Urdu languages. He has been successfully counseling and representing clients in removal proceedings, naturalization applications, family-based petitions, U Visas, Asylum, K visas, VAWA applications, and employment-based visas.
